4 Ways to Redecorate and Refresh Your Home Fast

Ready to redecorate and refresh your home in a pinch? For some, it can be overwhelming to try and keep up with the latest trends, but luckily you don’t have to spend too much time or even too much cash to redecorate. Here are a few ways to redecorate and refresh your home without spending a fortune.

    Start with your bedroom

One of the first ways to refresh your home and your decor is to start with your bedroom, where you go to retreat and rest! Revamp your linens with some fresh, quality bedding, shams, throws and decorative pillows. Of course, if you don’t want to shell out a chunk of cash for a new comforter, you might opt for a new duvet cover instead so that you can still use your comforter, yet quickly update and freshen up your room.

In with a winter color palette, out with holiday accents

Sure, you’ve (hopefully) put away your tree and lights strung outside, and you’ve cleared your mantel of hanging stockings and other decor. However, this should also go for any red or green accent items in your home. To refresh your home in a pinch, you should fully embrace the winter color palette. Think about softer hues such as linen, cashmere, grays and other colors that evoke a sense of warmth and coziness. Layer in throws and pillows in this color family to quickly revamp your home for the season.

    Simplified greenery and nature elements

Just like your home’s winter color palette, go for a more simplified, natural look by neutralizing the greenery in your home. Stow away those faux holly branches (or toss out the real ones), and add in green houseplants, curly willow tree branches, pussy willow branches or other less busy nature elements, such as pine cones, in your home decor.

    Update the layout

One of the easiest ways to redecorate your home is to simply shift around your furniture and update the layout. Do some research online at interior design sites or on Pinterest for new ways to arrange your furniture and update the layout accordingly. You might even add some new accents to freshen up the look by purchasing some new end tables (or taking some from another room), hanging new curtains, adding a piece of art or new rug.
